Project 365 (Food Distribution)

Why do we all work? Why do we earn money? The answer is to make a living. Yes, everyone works to make a living managing day-to-day expenses which include individual food expenses. India is a country with a very large population where a large portion of the population sleeps hungry at night. As per an estimate, around 690 million people around the world go to bed hungry, out of which 189.2 million people are from India.

The world has enough food to feed everyone but this figure shows bizarre inequality among the population reflecting an exacerbated situation in the country. In the year 2019-20, due to this stern inequality, malnutrition caused 69% of child deaths in India. These figures are a depiction of the inappropriate distribution of food across the country.

Lack of uniformity in food distribution and allocation has led to millions of people sleeping hungry every night. At 1XL, we believe that no one should go to bed hungry. Food is necessary for a person and body. A human body cannot function without getting an appropriate amount of food. Therefore, 1XL has launched a CSR initiative named Project 365.

Project 365 is an initiative by 1XL that aims at providing food to needy people all 365 days of the year. The aim is to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry. We understand that it is nearly impossible to reach out to every person who sleeps hungry at night. However, our collaborative teamwork would ensure that food is served to most of the people who sleep hungry every night.

Project 365 is an initiative that would work for the people and provide the needy with food. 1XL would be collaborating with various partners and stakeholders to fulfill the aim of this initiative.
